    I installed Redis on one of my VPS which is hosting multiple sites. Surprisingly, when I activated the Redis object cache plugin on all sites, it interchanged the site’s content, i.e. example1.com site started showing the content of the example2.com site. am I missing some extra configuration?

    And is there a way to connect to Redis that is password protected?

    Yes, you must separate each sites into their own database:

    
define('WP_REDIS_DATABASE', 0);
define('WP_REDIS_DATABASE', 1);
define('WP_REDIS_DATABASE', 2);
// ...

    Afterwards run redis-cli FLUSHALL to wipe everything.

    Yes, you can password protect Redis, even individual databases.
