• I am looking for help with a complex idea. At first I thought I would post it under discussions over on GitHub, but the only thing I can post there appears to be a feature request. I don’t use Facebook.

Anyway, I have a site that is using and old theme built using ACF Flexible Content. I would like to start altering this to use Elementor. The client does not want to rebuild the site and would like to move the page content slowly from the old ACF flex fields to Elementor. I am looking for potential solutions to allow them choose which page builder to use.

What I would like to do is have two different template files in the theme, one that shows the ACF flex fields as it is now and a new one that simply calls the_content() for using Elementor and then switch what template to include based on something that I haven’t got a clue what it would be.

  • Hi, @hube2. Thank you for reaching out to us.

Custom code requests are beyond our support scope. Please reference What does Elementor support cover?

We encourage you to check our Dev documentation for a possible solution. You can also post your inquiry in our global Facebook community in case someone has experience with your inquiry. Other possible solutions are to seek the help of a developer, or to use an AI coding tool (please note we advise using such a tool with caution, as we cannot guarantee it will work. ALWAYS create a backup of your site before implementing any such code).

    Hope that helps!

    Kind Regards.
