    Hello @freddyeee !

    Hope you’re doing great today!

This is not possible on mobile devices as they don’t have “exit intent” due to not having a pointing device which we can track (ie. mouse or cursor in general). Exit intent is determined by tracking the cursor’s movement towards the upper edge of the window and that doesn’t happen on mobile devices.

There’s even a note on the Exit intent trigger to remind about this:

Note: This doesn’t work on mobile and tablet because we use mouse movements to detect the exit intent.

We would suggest using a different trigger for mobile devices instead or show the popup after certain time.

    Best regards,
    Pawel

is it possible to display a popup at the time when a user switches the tab and also when someone clicks the “Back” button on mobile ?

    Hi @freddyeee

I am afraid it is not possible,

On mobile, it is harder to control the exit ident because we can’t control or prevent the user to switch tabs.

Unfortunately for mobile, we would need to use a different approach like a user visiting page twice so that if he returns to the page a PopUp is triggered.

what are the triggers that you recommend that would capture to the closest the exit intention on mobile ?

    Hi @freddyeee

I understand your needs but there really is no triggers that are really close to “exit intent” on mobile.

The closest thing I can think of could be to find out an “average time spent on page” by mobile visitors and set the time trigger with time slightly shorter than that time. It’s far from “exit intent” but if that average time on page is fairly consistent it may fine.

Perhaps a “scroll” could work for you too but you’d need to experiment with this.

    Kind regards,
    Adam

thanks , I’ll look into it.

I’ve read that optinmonster offer that kind of trigger with exit intent for mobile.
I’d be cool if you develop something similar for the pro version of your plugin.

    Hello @freddyeee !

    Thank you for your feedback!

We’ll pass it to our Hustle team so they can review this and see what can be done in the future!

    Hi there,

Is it possible to have one pop-up but have different display settings for both mobile or desktop? It feels a bit cumbersome to configure two pop-ups.

As I see it right now, I need to duplicate my pop-up and configure one for mobile and one for desktop.

    Reason for asking:
On desktop, we can use exit intent. On mobile, we need a different trigger.
Thus, the display rules hold no option to specify a behavior.

This could be done a bit more efficient, unless I am overlooking something.

Thanks for your expertise advice on this.

    Hi @vi54

Popup triggers cannot be set “conditionally” and it’s not possible to make them depend on the device or page where the popup is set to show up (and other rules).

If you need different triggers on different devices you need to use two popups, I’m afraid.

    Please note:

If you have any additional/further/other questions please do start a separate ticket of your own as per this forum’s guidelines (https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/forum-user-guide/faq/).

    Thanks for your answer.

We hope our suggestion is taken into consideration.

Imagine having 5 popups to be triggered on several landing pages. Because exit pop up does not work on mobile we are “forced” to duplicate and edit from there. so configuring them for both mobile and/desktop is 10 pop-up that needs to be edited because of the way the triggers work right now.

Just a suggestion that saves time. As changes design, triggers or wordings are reflected in both mobile and desktop versions. We personally think this is more efficient.

Regardless: Cheers, Hustle is by far the best plugin out there for pop-ups.
    Cheers

    Hi @vi54

I hope you are doing well.

You are correct, we should always look into decreasing the necessary work that our installation needs, so using a single PopUp instead multiple will be the best practice for sure.

As Adam said, feel free to create a new ticket in case you would like to extend this topic as per forum rules we don’t spam the thread stater.
