  • Mobile friendly for what?

Each plugn has a purpose. Some display things ot the public, some do back-end optimsation, some do third-party calls. Not all of them need to display anything, so saying that those are “mobile friendly” is true, but is pretty much a wasted thing.

The big thing is that no matter what, you need to know what you actually want the plugin to do before anyone would be able to offer any advice.

Thank you for your response. I’m referring to plug-ins like WP touch that advertise they will make your site mobile friendly.
I’m asking a general architecture question. Can you design your site then use one of these plug-ins to make it mobile friendly or are their themes that start mobile friendly ?

That makes it a lot easier. 🙂

Just search for themes tagged as ‘responsive‘. That will let you find one that’s mobile-friendly.

As far as the plugins for that, I haven’t used them, but I can’t ever see them replacing a properly designed responsive theme. They work OK from what they claim, but there’s no way that they’d be able to do the right job for every theme out there.
