You gave an update yesterday regarding seo meta tag. I am using rank math. How can I make Rank math SEO settings on pc adaptable for mobile?

I also want to mention that. Clicking on the Google cache from the PC shows the mobile version. But it has to show the web interface. It shows the interface of the mobile version. Snippet title belongs to mobile

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @huseyin3476

the update of yesterday gives you the possibility to decide if you want to synchronize the desktop post meta with the mobile post meta.

I’m speaking about the custom fields as described in this article: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/article/custom-fields/

Synchronization means that if you change a post meta value, when you save that post the same meta value will be saved in the mobile version and the other way around.

The default is still as it was before the last update, which means no synchronization for general post metadata, but now you can decide if you want it.
I did an exception for popular SEO plugins like Yoast SEO that use post meta because most of the time you want the same SEO metadata on desktop and mobile. For those plugins, you have additional options that as default are set with synchronization active.

Unfortunately, it looks like Rank Math doesn’t manage the SEO meta through post metadata, but it has its own database tables.
This makes the integration less easy and I have still to see how I can give the same synchronization option also to users like you who use Rank Math. This will require more time.

Until you have no options for the synchronization, you have to remember to set the same SEO meta to the mobile versions if you use Rank Math.
This means that if you change e.g. the meta description on desktop, remember to change it also on mobile.

When you say “clicking on the Google cache” what do you mean?

    Remember:
    – Until no automatic synchronization is available for Rank Math, set the right SEO meta also on mobile.
    – Be sure you have a cache system that distinguishes between mobile and desktop (e.g. W3 Total Cache)
    – page-example-mobile doesn’t exist for the public, only page-example exists. And when you visit page-example with a mobile device, you will see the content of page-example-mobile

Let me know if something is not clear or if you have questions.

    Hello;
I have a few questions I want to ask. Type the site name in Google and the correct snippet description appears. The site name consists of 2 words. When written separately, it shows the snippet description randomly.

    Related pictures: https://hizliresim.com/iYepAI https://hizliresim.com/UIHnJ3

This too is the snippet description in another search : https://hizliresim.com/gVUE6H

Meta descriptions and titles the same on mobile and web. But the title is wrong. The title I used in both versions as the title: https://hizliresim.com/uOsAFF

but the title on google is different, you can look at the first 2 pictures above.

What I can’t understand is which page is Google’s crawling and indexing? Which page does it care for for SEO? Web or mobile? Because it always indexes the mobile version in the cache. https://hizliresim.com/01ae3h

How can we solve this? Do you have a suggestion? You said you solved this problem for yoast seo. When does a solution come for rank math?

    Hi @huseyin3476

As I know Google uses more the mobile version for indexing. You can read more details here: https://developers.google.com/search/mobile-sites/mobile-first-indexing/.

In any case, you have to check the page outputted both on desktop and mobile, and if the meta description, the title, and so on are ok, then the job is done and it’s not anymore under your control, but under the control of Google.

Writing a meta description you invite Google taking that meta description, and usually, Google does it, but the final decision is of Google.

Even if you still don’t have the options to synchronize the SEO meta for Rank Math, SCFM gives you the possibility to make it right or make it wrong.
I mean, if you go to the mobile versions and put the right SEO meta, you will have that SEO meta.

Google doesn’t scan your website every day. What you see now in the Google cache may be different. I suggest you focus on the pages as they are now.

    I suggest you:

    – Visit your page with Google Chrome after you log out, or with the Incognito window. So you will see the same as Google.
    – Inspect elements (F12 or right click => Inspect Elements).
    – Check the SEO meta <meta name=”description” content=”…..” >
    – Check the title written between <title> and </title>.

Repeat after clicking on “Toggle device toolbar”, the mobile icon on the left of the tab “Elements”, and after refreshing the page. It’s important you refresh the page.

If you see that the SEO meta isn’t what you expect, then this is an issue and we will try to solve it. If they are as you expect them to be, then it’s something that is neither under the control of SCFM nor your control, but the control of Google.

Hi @huseyin3476, do you have any news? Have you checked the page inspecting elements?
Do you see on mobile what you set on the mobile version?

    Hi;
Meta descriptions and titles are the same. But the thing stuck in our head is; Searching for different keywords, the homepage appears in google search results, but the description comes out randomly.

I’m not exactly sure if this is causing the problem. But our ranking on google constantly changes.

For example, when we type MEKAN, we are sometimes in the 4th row of the 1st page. Sometimes 6-7. we are in line Sometimes page 3 or even my site 9.-10. the coming out to the page. We were in the top 6 at the last and we are not in the top 100 now.

What is the reason of this. This does not happen with just one word, it is the same with other words. As I said, our google ranking is very strange. The order changes every 2-5 minutes. We are on the first page, 5 minutes later, while searching again, we exit on the third page. Searching again after 5 minutes, we come out on 7 pages. Then we’re back on page 1. A nonsense cycle. Moreover, although the word we searched for is the same, the meta description is different each time. Could this cause this sudden change of order?

    Hi @huseyin3476

I can only say that the descriptions you see on the Google Search results are not always the descriptions you set. Usually, it’s so, but in the end, Google decides the description. Setting the meta description you invite Google to set that description, and usually, it does it but the final decision is of Google.

I’m afraid I can’t help you with this issue with Google.
I can surely help you to have the same description both on mobile and desktop. If this is not possible due to the plugin, I will do the best to helping you. But as you say the descriptions are the same, so I don’t think the problem is caused by the plugin.

I will close this thread, but if you discover that the descriptions or other SEO meta on some pages are wrong because of the plugin, don’t hesitate to open a new thread.
