For some reason none of your theme’s JavaScript files are being loaded. Try deactivating all of your plugins to explore whether any could be responsible.
Thanks for your quick response, Andrew.
I deactivated all my plugins but it still doesn’t work.
I don’t understand what it means that the javascript files don’t load. Could you explain it to me?
Or do you have any other idea what could be the problem?
Hi @lenalearoundtheworld
Looking at your page, it looks like you’ve made some changes to your menu (looks like it’s an <h3> instead of the default <a>). Those may not be the problem, but they could be contributing, can describe those a bit? Are they from a plugin, or some custom code you’re using? 🙂
Hello Chad,
Yes, I changed it to h3 because I read it in some forum, but it didn’t work either. I changed it back now.
That’s the only change I had made. I migrated the blog from wordpress.com. It’s still visible (www.lenalearoundtheworld.wordpress.com) and there, the mobile menu works without any problem. Could the migration have caused the problem?
Sorry, for all the questions and thank you so much for your help!
The migration shouldn’t be causing the problem, no. Has your site undergone any other changes recently? Did you upgrade or make any other changes?
No, I didn’t make any other changes. Could it be the theme? Do you think that if I change to another theme, the menu could work?
If this is a theme related issue, then yes, changing themes would likely resolve it, but let’s see about getting the current theme menu working.
If you haven’t already, make sure you’ve updated to the most recent version of WordPress (currently 4.7).
Once that is done, if the menu still does not work, let’s try reinstalling the theme.
Change your site to the current default theme Twenty Seventeen. Delete Apostrophe from Appearance > Themes, then reinstall it and activate it.
Let me know if either of the above solve the menu problem.
Hello Chad,
Problem solved! The menu works after reinstalling and activating Apostrophe.
Thank you for your help!
My pleasure! Glad you’re back up and running 🙂
