    Hi eco4drive,

    Does the issue persist if all plugins and the child theme are temporarily disabled at the same time?

    The HTML markup for the menu seems different to the theme’s default. This may be impacting how the menu functions.

    it was the theme!

    i don’t know how or what happened, but after your hint i tried the live-preview of the original theme and it worked immediately – so i created a second child-theme from the original and copied all the changes i made one by one…
