Mobile menu open when page loads

When I open the site on mobile, the main menu is automatically expanded and cannot be closed. The featured image and homepage hero images are full size, not shrunk to mobile dimensions.

The site works fine on desktop.

Disabling plugins doesn’t seem to have any effect. Everything is updated.
