• Hi There, I’m using the free version of Kadence’s Pinnacle theme for my site below:
    http://www.inkwarsgame.com
And I’m having a problem where when you view the site on a mobile device, the menu does not start out at a collapsed state. Rather it shows itself vertically (as text – page titles) above the header’s background.
Would anyone know why it is doing this? Ideally it would be great to have the menu when you go to the site on your mobile device starting out collapsed and expanding to show the page options, when you click on the menu icon.

    Thank you!

    Hey,
I just checked from an iphone 6 and I am seeing it collapsed when I first open the page. What device are you using?

    Hi Hannah,
I’m currently using the iphone 4.
The screen size would be smaller. (either 3.5 inch or 4 inch)
Not sure if the problem may lie with responsiveness breaking in smaller screen sizes? But I have no collapsed menu at all either case. Just white text similar to what it looks like on desktop/laptop but vertically layed out.

    Could you send a screenshot?

Hmm… I’m not seeing that on any device I check on. When you view the demo site from the same device does the same thing happen?

Have you cleared the cache on your device?

    Hello,

I also am having this issue. I am using Pinnacle Premium v1.5.2 and WordPress v4.4.2. The nav menu is not collapsing on my iPhone 6s in Safari even after I cleared the cache. http://i.imgur.com/GqHi6KL.png

I don’t think it has to do with screen size because I was able to view the site correctly with the collapsed nav on an iPhone 6.

When viewing http://themes.kadencethemes.com/pinnacle-premium/ the nav menu is collapsed as it should be.

    Hey samhd440,
Are you able to post a link to your site so we can take a look? Could be worth deactivating your plugins to test if any are conflicting.

    Hannah

The site is YJFC.org. I just tried with the chrome app and it works. I’ll try deactivating some plugins to see if that changes anything.

Just checked from an Iphone 6 and couldn’t get this issue to repeat. Did you figure this out?

    Hannah

I’m still not sure how this happened, but it is not occurring anymore. I updated my iPhone to iOS 9.3.1 and I no longer see the issue.

In summary: The nav menu (primary and topbar) would not be collapsed and would overlay on top of the page (see previous post). The website was in development so a lot of things were changing at the time. This issue was only seen in safari, chrome for iPhone was viewing properly. Further, I found a temporary fix by viewing the page in Safari’s private mode. This issue was also only showing up on my phone and could not reproduce on other people’s iPhone 6. Safari data reset did not fix. And then after the OS update it all started working properly. The nav menu was the stock Pinnacle Premium menus and we were also a few plugins.

    Hey,
So to be clear you don’t have this issue any more correct?
