Thank you for using our plugin @svkrs

We have not done any changes in that section of the plugin, and as such it records the UserAgent as is in the HTTP headers. We do not apply any modifications.

Would it be possible to share any examples, and maybe screenshots that highlight the problem?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Hello @svkrs

We’ve looked into this issue and I can confirm that we have not changed the way the plugin retrieves the User-Agent string from the HTTP headers.

After the tests we can see that some browsers, such as Chrome, are truncating some information shared in the user-agent string to protect user’s privacy. You can read more about this here: https://developer.chrome.com/blog/user-agent-reduction-android-model-and-version/.

So, for example, starting from Chrome 110, the default value for Android version and device model will be fixed to Android 10 on a model K (the exact same thing that you have also been experiencing).

So most probably, there were users using Chrome on mobile for which you were unable to view such information etc. One thing I would suggest, just to confirm that the same is happening on your end, is to try to log in from that mobile phone using a different browser (rather than Chrome), and you should be able to see all the details.

If you do, that confirms that the issue is related to the information that the web browser on the mobile is sending rather than the plugin, which as such is not an issue, but they are just doing some changes because of data privacy issues.

I hope the above helps. Please run some tests for yourself and let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks.
