mobile support

I created a custom page template that uses wp_is_mobile in order to eliminate burdensome resources being loaded on mobile devices. It appears to be working okay with caching enabled and the correct content is being loaded on the right devices. Do I need to enable the mobile option in advanced? If so, do I need to do anything, or will it just serve the correct cache files depending on the user’s device?
