I s there away to signify that you are the moderator of a chat (CM) ?

Unfortunately, there is no such option now, but I have this in my plans. For now you can only set text color for all logged in users (in Appearance settings).

In Wise Chat Pro since version 1.9 there is a possibility to send e-mail notifications when a message is posted in the chat. Check out Wise Chat Pro:
