Modified plugin file: wp-content/plugins/wp-fastest-cache/inc/preload.php
-
Hello,
I have WordFence installed on my site and it alerted me to a file modification on one of your files this morning:
Medium Severity Problems:
* Modified plugin file: wp-content/plugins/wp-fastest-cache/inc/preload.phpWhen I went to look at the file differences the only difference is on line 5 where:
public static function wpml_get_permalink
was changed to:
public function wpml_get_permalinkThis file has a last modified time exactly the same as all the other files. I went through your SVN repo and the last 3 versions all had “static function”. What I’m trying to determine is 1) how did this change? (not that you would know, but maybe you do) and 2) why would this change? Is there a security vulnerability by changing this from static to non-static?
WordFence suggests that perhaps something was mis-management by the plugin author (I assume something to do with versions/trunk, but I don’t know).
I’ve been researching this and come up empty in my searching. I also need to determine if there’s a larger flaw in the security of my site or hosting provider.
Thanks!
