Modifying plugin text without disrupting future updates

Is there a way to modify the text that shows up for different outputs, like “You need to be signed in to manage your job listings.”, for example, without having to modify the base plugin files, in this case ‘class-wp-job-manager-shortcodes.php’?

I really don’t want to mess up any update capability just to make the output have a <div> and translating it, and I’m not an expert in WP either.
