I dont have category.php in my themes folder, wat to do?
Then maybe archive.php
Check this Template Hierarchy.
Achieve.php have encrpted data , saying
/* WARNING: This file is protected by copyright law. To reverse engineer or decode this file is strictly prohibited. */
What to do now?
@pseudoxiah It’s considered good manners not to jump into threads where others are already helping. I’ve been around here much longer than you have.
@entertainmentime It’s a good idea to find a theme that is not encrypted. The theme author is hiding something, like spam links or worse. FInd a theme that is clean and you’ll be much better off in the long run with your site and working with editing the theme. Search for Themes
Well the complete theme is ok, only just achieve.php is encrypted.
Is there any way, i can just copy and paste the content of “search.php” to achieve.php, because i think both just shows the snippet of post.
Thanks @songdogtech for your help, and never mind @pseudoxiah he just tried to help me when i said “I didnt find category.php”
Thanks @songdogtech @pseudoxiah
π
No, search.php is a search page. If you want an archive page, you need the wordpress loop code that generates an archive. It’s hard to say what you need as some themes are different, but look at these docs: http://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Creating_an_Archive_Index
Well i looked the search.php, what it does in my theme is
post the snippet of the each post with images in loop with back and forward arrow. it doesnt search or anything other than it.
That wat i wanted, when someone clicks on specific category
it should show snippet of the each post with images in loop with back and forward arrow.
Creating an achieve page, is normal achieve like june 2009, july 2009.
π I copied the code of search.php and pasted in achieve.php
voilla , I got what i wanted π
Thanks a lot for your very very sincere help.
