Thanks for your interest in MLA and for the question. The Year/Month filter is a WordPress/MLA convention and there is no narrower filter option available in the current MLA version. You can, however, bring the most recent additions to the top of the list for easier selection.
First, you can click on the ID/Parent column header of the Media/Assistant submenu (twice) to sort the display in descending order by ID value. Since IDs are assigned in ascending order this will sort the newest additions to the top of the list. You can also pull down the Screen Options in the upper right corner and click the box to the left of “Date” to add that column to the display, then click the column header to sort by Date.
Finally, you can change the default sort order of the Media/Assistant submenu table to show the most recent additions at the beginning of the table. Go to the Settings/Media Library Assistant General tab and scroll down to the “Table Defaults” area within the “Media/Assistant Screen Options” section. You can set Order By to “Date” and Order to Descending.
I regret there is no current feature along the lines you asked for, but I hope you find the sorting options helpful. I am marking this topic resolved, but please update it if you have any problems or questions regarding the above suggestions. Thanks again for your interest in the plugin.
