what theme are you using?
are you viewing the index page, or an individual post or static page?
the ‘more tag’ will not work in a static page or when viewing a single post.
are you aware of the <!--nextpage--> tag? http://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Styling_Page-Links
was trying to use on a page, but I could use as a post instead–could direct viewers to the post instead of a page..
BUT..if it won’t show on a single post either..
I think I need to just create individual pages and have “More” linked to each page?

well, it seemed to work..
I am trying to insert the <!–nextpage–> in between galleries…after inserting the tag<!–nextpage–> , now the galleries have disappeared..
(I did this in the text editer,,) – All that appears now is the numbers of the images in the gallery, – no images tho.
OK..Got it…
Turns out the “[gallery ” was somehow erased, now the gallery is back..
And I found a “next page” button in my tinymce editor..that works where the “More” button did not..
Thanks, don’t know why the [gallery disappeared when I inserted the <!–nextpage–> tag before..but it’s fixed.
