more… tag in posts

Hello, I’m having trouble getting the more… tag to show up in post previews in the blog section of the Tesla theme.

The theme shortens the post, but doesn’t insert a more… break by default and trying to add one in the post manually doesn’t seem to work for me.

Is there a setting I can adjust so that a tag like that shows up?
