• Overall, I’m pleased with Revive Old Posts. It works as promised and I’m able to tweet out older blog content at regular intervals, thus the five stars.

That said, getting this plugin to work wasn’t easy. In the end, if you have a security plugin installed it may interfere. To get Revive Old Posts to work for me, I ended up having to turn of “POSTS Request Attack Protection” in my security plugin, and to set the jobs up, I used EasyCron.com. (I paid for the one year subscription it was $12, although there is a free option that also works.) Once all those factors were taken care of, everything fell into place with Twitter updates.

Hi there, thank you for the review. We have an article posted which includes Easy Cron: https://docs.revive.social/article/686-fix-revive-old-post-not-posting

You could have also setup the cron job on your web host as well so it would be a free option and work just as well since the pings would come from the same source.

You’re welcome! I actually found Easy Cron because of your article. That said, Easy Cron was so easy to use that I decided against using my host for the cron job, despite the cost being $0. I just liked the options afforded by Easy Cron that it was worth the $12 per year.

Thanks again for an excellent plugin. 🙂
