Move to ww.wp.xz.cn from wordpress.com- suggestions

    Hi All,

    i am moving my blog from wp.com to my owndomain i have few questions as i am a total newbie i seek ur advice.pls help.

    what do i do with my free old blog at wp.com? can i do a redirect? is it possible? and is there a way to move my blog stats(no of hits) or i lose them? i know the blog stat plugin, but the previous blogs hits.. are they all gone?

    also how do i know what version if WP i am on? i just installed a wp theme (blueline. 1.0 )& using it.

    You would leave your wordpress.COM blog alone.

    Here’s a FAQ about domains at wordpres.COM http://faq.wordpress.com/category/domain-mapping/

    If you ‘own-hosted’ domain is the same as the domain you used at wordpress.COM then I’d say your stats are there, but that is a guess.

    As for the version, I believe that wordpress.COM is currently using a version equivalent to 2.3. As for your ‘own-hosted’ blog, just look at the bottom of any panel in your blog admin.

    Here is a question I had. I am going from wordpress.com to ww.wp.xz.cn blog.

    On my old blog, I had this widget for view counter. What is the equivalent widget for ww.wp.xz.cn, and where can I find it so I can start using it? Thanks!
