This is mostly just curiosity, but why, after following the directions in this thread (http://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory) does my blog appear at any URL under my domain so long as there is not an actual file there?

For example, there is no “what” subdirectory, but if I put in that URL, I see my blog echoed there.

Its not a problem, but I am curious to know why it does this now.

Does your browser get redirected to the proper URL, or do you just see your blog displayed at the “what/etc” URL?

Sorta sounds like you might be using URL masking (usually not a good idea).

I see it displayed at the random URL. Masking is not turned on on this domain.

http://tragicbeautiful.com is where the blog should be displaying, and only there. You can see for yourself by adding on whatever made up directory you feel like after it what it’s doing. (Don’t use /blogs/ because there is other stuff actually there.)
