Moving from wordpress.com to ww.wp.xz.cn

    Hi,

    I have recently decided to move my free blog under wordpress.com to ww.wp.xz.cn and having the trouble of either exporting or importing the files from one blog to another.

    At the time of exporting from WP.com, I got a message that all of my content will be emailed to me for download; and hence received a zip file with two xml files (which is basically all my content split into two)! I have no idea why I received two xml files when I should be receiving just one?

    Now, when I try to import it on my self hosted website, I dont get an option to upload two xml files. I try to do one at a time, but just a couple of my posts are transferred and I get an error message saying “405 not allowed”

    The blog I need help with is thoughtsoverchai.wordpress.com href=”thoughtsoverchai.wordpress.com”>thoughtsoverchai.wordpress.com

    Hi tasneem0704,

    this could be an issue related to your hosting environment. You could contact your hosting company and let them check if they can find an issue related to the “405 not allowed” error message.
