Moving javascript to footer

Hi – sorry im bit of a newbie. I am using a wordpress starter theme called ‘Sage’ – https://roots.io/sage. As part of the theme there is a plugin called ‘Soil’ which lets me move all my scripts to the footer. If I do this I can not see the full-calendar. I checked the console and can see that the wp full calendar plugin produces inline javascript. Based on the errors I can see, I am assuming that the full calendar plugin requires jquery to be in the head? Is there a way to remove the inline javascript and move it to an external script which I can have in the footer and still have it working with event manager?
