Is there a simple way that I can take the navigation bar and move it so that it displays as below the header and above page banner image? Will that require me to do some custom coding to move the navigation bar?

I want to have the navigation bar in a block that stretches the width of the page and acts as a separator between the header section and body section of the page.

I was able to move the navigation bar so that it spans the width of the container. Is there a way I can now customize the navigation so that I can add a background color to it and then get it evenly space out the tabs across the width of the span? If so what part of the navigation code can I use to make my customizations?

So I was able to add a background color to the navigation bar and move it to the exactly location I wanted it between the header logo image and header/page banner image. The problem that I now have is that I would like the navigation bar to stretch the full width of the page. I would also like to remove the spacing between the navigation bar and the header/page banner image. I have been looking throughout all the available CSS stylesheet files but I can not locate the exact piece of code. Could someone please help me out with this please. Thanks so much.
