What server error? 500?
What happens if you go to notarealsite.yourdomain.com?
Its the same error as below, just like I am not connected to the internet
Server not found
Firefox can’t find the server at notarealsite.yourdomain.com.
Check the address for typing errors such as
ww.example.com instead of
http://www.example.com
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network
connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.
You don’t have wildcard DNS set up 🙂
You have to tell your name server to accept anything.
Ok Thanks
Wheredo I set it up, I have already set it up in cpanel *.mydomain.com
Thanks
Rob

Do you know where your nameservers are? Your host’s cpanel should have access to edit that.
I set it up in cpanel in the subdomain section.
Still no good.
However my name servers are set by my host and entered in
domain control at godaddy.
Is this the same?
It’s not in the subdomain section.
Cpanel has a zone editor for DNS. If you don’t have that, ask your webhost how to make a wildcard DNS setting/
