Running WordPress on Windows Server 2003 and IIS 6 using the Ionic ISAPI Rewrite. Single site working marvelously.

Fired up network and install went fine, added domain mapping and all is good except any media I upload is lost. Here’s a link…

    http://www.designgadget.com

The file is there and I can find it it in the blogs.dir folder, etc. For example an image uploaded says it should live at:

    http://www.designgadget.com/files/2012/03/design-gadget_div1.png

It’s indeed in the blogs.dir/3/files folder.

But I cannot see the image via the browser unless I go through the dashboard’s Media and click edit. I’ve already checked permissions and tried a couple of config tricks. Any suggestions?

    Yippee!

My simple mistake: after setting up Ionic ISAPI Rewrite for my main site and testing I proceeded to set up the network, then domain mapping.

When the network install gave me the .htaccess rules for the network I added them to the .ini file that runs the rewrite. Doh!

So basically I had the standalone rules followed by the network rules.

Once I realized they were saying similar things I removed the original rewrite block and everything worked!
