In Adsense i have setup a GDPR message in Italian + one other language (English).

My primary blog language Is Italian and i use WPML.

How can i display the consent message in English when the user visit mysite/en ?

Actually even if i had setup the GDPR message in both Italian and English in Adsense the consent banner always show the message in Italian for both mysite and mysite/en.

    Thanks.

Thanks for reaching out @simbian, and great question regarding localizing the consent message displayed to users. As Site Kit doesn’t add any public message regarding consent, you can reach out to your preferred consent management plugin to ask them about different messages for different locales. I did check your site and it looks like you may be using CookieYes. If so, the below guide may be of use:
    https://www.cookieyes.com/documentation/cookieyes-cookie-banner-for-multilingual-websites/

I note also that you mention you did set up the GDPR message in both Italian and English. When I visit the English version of your site, the messaging is in English, while the Italian version is displaying the message in Italian.

Let me know if you have any questions with the above. Thank you.

Hi @jamesosborne and thanks for the quick reply. Yes i use Cookieyes solution but this isn’t the banner i was talking about, instead of im talking about https://blog.google/products/adsense/helping-site-owners-manage-consent-adsense/

which Is the built in specific Adsense consent banner that appears in the middle of the site (you can see It by browsing the site in incognito mode).

I will ask to Google Adsense support, thanks.

Thanks for the update and additional details @simbian. It may be possible to configure your CookieYes banner to account for any AdSense related privacy messages, and use that instead.

I will ask to Google Adsense support, thanks.

This may indeed be the best approach if using the AdSense privacy banner. Best of luck, and be sure to reach out should you have any further Site Kit queries. Thank you.

Hello @jamesosborne , as long as i use the free version of Cookieyes i can’t configure it for Adsense because as i it will be not fully compliant (IAB TCF 2.2).

However i received an answer from Adsense community forum that an user said that if he remember well the language of the consent banner is automatically set not depending from the site language but by “environmental” variables like OS/browser language, geo position…

    Thanks.

Thanks for the update @simbian. Good to know about the behavior of the AdSense banner also. I performed some checks on this and as you stated, it does look like the messaging will auto translate based on browser set language. In cases where this isn’t possible, it will revert to English.

Best of luck with your site, and be sure to reach out if you have any additional queries.
