I want to have my website in two languages – English and French. I am using Polylang, which I’ve used on other sites. There are some strings missing, namely for the contact us section. There are no strings for Your Name, Your email, Subject, Your message, or the Send Message button. How do I change this?

Just reading through some other threads, and I see that others are having the same problem with the localization of the contact us section. This is a major bug for anyone who wants to use this theme, free or not. Is there a timeline to get this fixed? We are about to go live and I’m working on the French version of my English site (in Canada we have two official languages).

I really don’t want to have to go to a child theme in order to fix this one section. Nor do I want to start from scratch with another theme.

    Does anyone have any solutions?

I have done some playing with functions.php and front-page.php and managed to get things going. I’ve added polylang functions for the missing contact us strings, and then changed the form in front-page.php to incorporate those strings. Looks like the only solution so far is to create a child theme, although that’s not extra work I wanted to do.

This is a great theme, but it needs some work on the multilanguage integration. Multilanguage capability is a something that is more and more in demand.

If anyone has a better solution, I’d be interested in hearing it.

    Hello,

The fix for multilanguage has already been released in the latest update, but it did not get approved on ww.wp.xz.cn
I don’t think it’ll get approved anytime soon, so in the meantime you can download and replace wpml-config.xml in your theme’s files:

    Can you help me?

You are using WordPress 3.1 or later OK
WPML is installed on this website KO
    WPML is deactivated OK
Polylang 1.2.3 or later is activated OK
No language has been created with Polylang OK

    Tutorial on youtube PT_BR :

I changed the Zerif – lite.pot using Google Translator Toolkit, Ps . converted into the .txt aquivo to accept the format.

But the imput is still in the original language model

    Hello @wanderesende,

I suggest you to use .po file to translate theme using poedit.
    http://poedit.net/
I hope it will help you.

    Thank You
