    Hello,

Hoping you can help with this as I cannot see it making sense.

Trying to add 2, or more, layers together – multilayer map.
However, when I add the markers from another layer, using the ‘multilayer’ tick option, it removes the markers from the original layer and only displays the markers from the added layer, on the map and on the list of assigned markers below the map. The markers from the original layer disappear all together. When removing the multilayer tick option, the original markers re-appear.

We were seeking the multilayer layer option for mapping and were pleased to have found this plugin. So what is going wrong when I try to do it?

    Any idea?
(host domain we are working on is WordPress version 3.8.1)
    Thank you kindly.

  • Hi Kerry,
please create a third layer which combines the markers from the other two layers. Markers assigned to a layer which is then turned into a multi-layer-map will not be shown – this is documented in the multi-layer-infotext, anyway I guess I should make this more prominent 😉
    best,
    Robert

PS: if you like using my plugin, I´d appreciate your review at http://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/view/plugin-reviews/leaflet-maps-marker 😉

    Hi Robert,

Fantastic! It’s working! Thank you, it all makes sense now 🙂

One last detail though…. any idea why the map does not display properly on the front end? The markers are showing but the background is grey as opposed to being a road map. Only 3squares on the left handside is showing as a map. I have set the sizes and zooms identically on all layers.

A print screen would help you understand so I do I set about to send a print screen?
Here’s a link, though the map here is showing a road map, not a grey background, though still not displaying properly.

The map starts showing correctly when changing the zoom on the front end though…

hope this is making sense, and I really appreciate your help.

    Hi Kerry,
great that the multi-layer-map issue could be solved.
regarding the other issue: the problem is that the map gets loaded invisible in a tab. I implemented a fix for this,
but only if the (mostly used) jquery ui library is used. Is there an option for you to switch to the jquery ui tab library?
Unfortunately I currently cant support all (not standardized) tab libraries.
Another workaround would be to move the map outside the tab.
    best,
    Robert
