  • Hey Stefan! I think the best option would be to create the multisite with London and Paris as sub-sites in directories. Then, like you said, you can translate the sites with WPML and in the WPML settings, you can set the URL format to have different languages in directories, so you would have the URL format exactly as you mentioned above.

    I dont know why but I am not a big fan of wpml because I read good and bad things about the plugin. Here is another idea:
    I am creating the multisite with sub-site London and Paris. Then inside each sub-site I create the pages /fr and /en. Then I could create individual pages in each language with diffrent images, headings,… With an 301 redirect I could then redirect the pages /en and /fr to the homepage of each language. The url format would then be as I want it to be. Or do I miss something?
    What do you think? As a language switcher I could use the Multisite Language Switcher
