• I am about to set up a site. But the content will need to be accessed in different languages. How can I organise my site so that there are links to the different foreign language versions? – Graham

Thank you for your suggestion. The thing is we want to post our own content and not use automatic translation. In effect we are going to set up several versions of the same site.

Thank you for not reading the article.

Just to clarify it: Gengo does not translate the posts or Pages or any other content. What it does: based on the language defined for each post or Page it will display them only for the selected language. Etc.

FYI: on that site there are several posts that are strongly opposed to any machine translation because the author is a polyglot linguist and professional translator and interpreter…

Anyway, please, don’t post back if you didn’t read the resources offered.

Thank you again for drawing my attention back to your article and apologies for being so sloppy. I have browsed through it again but will need to study it in greater depth over the next day or two to see if it really fits the role. What I am attempting to do is to set up web site for a language school addressing numerous languages including Chinese, Korean and Japanese as well as languages using Roman script. Of course, I could code the site myself, but WordPress supplies such a superior CMS.

That’s perfectly doable – as much as I can I try to post instructions only toward solutions that I know they work.

Thanks for your patience. I’ll let you know how I get on.
