multinetwork multisite , network not appearing

i have installed wp in a folder then i installed wp multinetwork plugin to create multiple network of sites then i added a subdomain and point it to the folder in which wp is installed

then i created a network with primary site and with subdomain in the url field created earlier

now when i go to that subdomain it shows server not found error

i think i am missing something like htaccess configuration or vhosts configuration
