Hi, I want to set up 2FA for admins. We have 3 people that use one admin account but when I set up 2FA with the QR code, it seems only one person can have access to the login code as the QR code disappears once activated. Is there a way to allow all three users to log in to the same admin account? Hope that makes sense!

    Thank you.

Hi @thevapourroomltd, thanks for your question.

In theory, if you were able to screenshot the QR code for the other 2 users to scan, check you’re all getting the same codes in your apps, then verify it in Wordfence with 1 user as normal, all 3 should be able to access. You can disable 2FA for the account and start again if that’s the route you want to take.

From a security and auditing standpoint, I would always recommend individual admin accounts for the 3 users. If you did want to implement this, you can create the admin accounts in WordPress normally, then set Wordfence > Login Security > Settings > 2FA Roles to “Required” for administrators and set a grace period that allows all users to log in with username/password and set up their own 2FA.

    Thanks,
    Peter.
