Multiple article:tag/article:section OpenGraph tags issue

We’ve just had a report from our SEO team about multiple opengraph article:tag and article:section metas causing warnings on Google as well as Facebook – the issue is outlined in detail here: http://www.lucagrandicelli.co.uk/2014/03/21/fix-open-graph-tag-issue-using-wordpress-seo-yoast/.

So far the only solution is to modify the core code, with obvious problems related to that – is it possible to have the tags/categories comma-separated by default, or add an option in the back-end?
