• Thank you for your input in advance as I have a somewhat unique case.
I want a standard blog on my site with comments and sharing on it. No problem.
    Let’s call this Blog #1.

I also want a separate blog, Blog #2, which will have content that will not always be well written. It is important that comments are always off. I am not sure yet on the sharing function. Anyway, I want Blog #2 to be a safe place where the quality of writing will not be criticized if it not good. One troll can really upset everything.

    Any ideas?
    Thank you.

  • Hi, Ross.

Have you looked into using a Multisite installation?

That would allow you to use a single WordPress installation while having Blog #1 at yourdomain.com, while Blog #2 would live at either blog2.yourdomain.com or yourdomain.com/blog2. You get to choose.

More info on setting up Multisite here.

It’s also possible your webhost can automate a multisite installation.
