• I’ve been doing OK with a basic installation of WordPress on a Linux box I control. In fact, I like it so much that I’d like to use WP to set up some other simple web sites that can be easily edited with current information.

So, could someone please point me to some how-to guides for having one installation of WordPress handle several different domain names on the same underlying IP address, with different blogs? (I do not want to run multiple copies of WP at the same time!)

    Thanks,
    —John

Btu you should know that multisite is fairly complicated – if you are new to WP, expect a steep learning curve.

So maybe it’s not worth using for a simple site containing a few “tabs” like HOME and ABOUT with static content. That would defeat the purpose of being simple to set up — but I still like the idea of letting non-tech people edit the page without having to do the raw file sync.

Is there another system I might look into for this?

Can you explain a bit more about what you want to do? There may be a not-so-complicated way to do it.
