• Hey guys. I have Wp installed at ..com/daily/ (original one) and ..com/news/ (new installation)

when I try to go to wp-admin for /daily, it simply redirects to /news/wp-admin

In fact all the content redirects to the news section.

Database for original daily is wp_ , for news its wp_2

I imagine the old daily/ is using the wp2_ database by mistake, but I dont how or what to change.

Any advice on this would be appreciated.

  • Small clarification question: is news “wp_2” or “wp2_”?

I assume that’s the db prefix you’ve assigned to it in /news/wp-config.php, right?

sorry, i didnt mean to write wp_2, should have been wp2_

Are you seeing the right posts in the right places?

At first glance, it almost sounds like you inadvertantly updated /daily to have the URI values for /news. Are you able to look into the control panel for each and verify that they have the correct URIs? (options -> General)

HELP HELP WP-ADMIN redirect to ugly home page.

Please see my site here: http://www.praguebuzz.com

I think the horrible thing happened after I did the following.

    1. I created a new Home page (using WordPress static page feature). Since there is a default Home, this new page is slugged home-2

    2. I deleted the previous Home page.
    3. Change home-2 to home as I don’t want to have 2 Home button on my menu bar (normally most wp themes have a default menu linking to all static PAGES).

Please help me. I don’t know how to fix this problem as I can’t even go to the WP-ADMIN, LOG-IN.
