• I do need some help with my category issue in my woocommerce store.

I set a category “Category 1-1. When I do click to see the product (product page), then the breadcrumb jumps to “Category 3-3 instead to stay in the same category 1-1.

If I do set “Category 1-1” and “Category 4” then it works fine.
Obviously, woocommerce category setting has a problem with two categories with the dropdown field.

Can someone help me with this issue? Thanks a lot.

  • Hello,

When a product is in 2 (or more) categories, WooCommerce automatically generates the breadcrumb. If you’d like to have control over which category to show in breadcrumbs, you’d need to use a plugin like below:

    Hi Maykato

Thanks for replied me. The main issue is not the breadcrumb. The issue is, that when I set two categories, and both categories, e.g. category 1 and category 2, and both category are in a dropdown list, choosing the product category 1, it jump automatically to category 2. Check this site: http://www.longhua.ch/shop

    Thanks ……

Or go here to check. The issue is really strange…

At “Grüntee pur” –>> click on the A-Test 1 Product, and you will, that it jumps to another folder in the categories, in the folder “Tee aus Japan.

    Hello,

I’m not sure if I see the same issue. You currently have one product “Test product 1” in CATEGORY 1-1 and CATEGORY 3-3.

When I click “CATEGORY 1-1,” it jumps to the correct page: https://snipboard.io/CP6Xzo.jpg

And, clicking CATEGORY 3-3 jumps to CATEGORY 3-3: https://snipboard.io/fR4lN1.jpg

If you are referring to something different, could you send us a screenshot of the particular section? I recommend https://snipboard.io for easily sharing screenshots – please follow the instructions on the page, then paste the URL in this chat. It works with Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.

    Hi Maykato

Thanks for replying to me. The issue is: Why when the product is set on Category 1-1 and 3-3, and to see the product you click the product, it jumps directly to category 3-3 and do not stay in Category 1-1?
