    Hi @nickkits

Try going to the Filters > Settings > VAR Names > change them to the unique ones and hit the save button, like fe_cat_bikes. Then go to the page with the issue refresh it and test it.

If it does not work, turn off all of your plugins except WooCommerce and FE, also, use the default WP theme in order to test if it will work correctly. Turn off all of the custom code as well.

Test it, if everything is working, you can bring them back one by one plugin and see which one is causing the conflict.

Also, the issue may be caused by the server being configured to treat the ; character as a parameter separator in the query string. Typically, the & symbol is used as the standard separator for query parameters. However, your server might be set up to recognize both & and ; as separators.

Hello, thank you for your response! Unfortunately the problem is still there.

    1. Changing VAR name did not do anything
    2. Disabled all plugins except elementor and FE and woocommerce. Still the same problem
    3. Used elementor theme, and default twenty five, did not change
    4. In my query string there are both and & this and ; and it works for other filters sets, but not product categories.
    5. I’m attaching more screenshots, where one filter is ok and the other not. Please take a look.

What other suggestions you might give me:
    Good: https://prnt.sc/C81buB39Mf1O
    Bad: https://prnt.sc/w-6aAz0s39NM

    Thanks!

    Hi @nickkits

In that case, it can be connected directly to the query on the page. The Free version only supports main queries, while Elementor can create custom queries on the page. To filter it correctly, you would need to select a custom query. It can be partially connected to the main query, this is why it is filtering, but not correctly by-product taxonomy.

Try this on a separate testing environment using Woo and FE without Elementor, and create a filter by category to test it, if it is working correctly install Elementor and check if it will alter this behavior.

Ok, I tested with elementor product widget and setting query to: “Current query” and it seems it works correctly. Although when i use elementor post loop widget and set to “Current query” and it does not filter 🙁
Here are the options for my queries maybe you can see what I can tweak?

    Query: https://prnt.sc/ED60uJKQ1lhZ

Here is the screenshot with default product grid which is showing ok: https://prnt.sc/p5wVFJ4WwjDJ

Yeah, it can be a difference between the product widget and loop grid widget and what type of changes they are adding to the main query.

So what next? Do I write to elementor support? What should I ask them? Or how can I create custom query?

    (@fesupportteam)

Well, you can ask them how you can create the main query on the page via Elementor, so it’ll be the same as the default one from Woo or WP for posts.

    Victor
