Multiple Issues with Site Appearance
-
I’m trying to do a very simple one-page website and I’m having all kinds of odd issues with the layout. I have tried searching for information on the specific problems and making changes in the CSS, and none of them have worked.
The first problem is that a link called ‘Skip Navigation’ is showing at the very top of the page. Then, it’s putting the word ‘Menu’ below the site logo, followed by a link to ‘Page #2 (no title)’. There’s also a ‘Page #2 (no title)’ toward the bottom of the page. As there is only one page — which is the home page — there shouldn’t be any page numbers anywhere.
Also, at some point the border around the page disappeared. (There was one earlier…) Finally, I’m having trouble getting text to float around a picture, though it has worked on and off, and I’ve been able to make it work on the two other WordPress sites I’ve created. (For some mysterious reason, trying to make this site even simpler than the others seems to have created all of these problems!!!)
Any advice would be much appreciated — I’ve been trying to get this site up for a couple of months, and every time I try to go in and fix this, attempting to make any sense out of the codes in the style sheet just gives me a headache… 🙁
Here’s the site link: http://glenlyonpress-llc.com/
(I’ve been keeping the view ‘Private’ because it’s such a mess, but I’ve changed it to make it ‘Public’ right now so anyone who might be able to help can see what it’s actually doing.)

try the support sub-forum of your theme “bliss”:
https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/theme/blissThanks, Tara – I’ll try reposting this there.
I’ve posted this question on the theme support sub-forum, but it’s clear that there are far more questions being posted than answers being given (I posted yesterday and my question is already down on the third page or so!).
Does anybody know of some other source where I can get help with this issue? (No offense to the folks running this forum, but it certainly looks as if the questions so far outnumber the replies that it’s just not an effective way to get support…)

I understand your frustration.
Please note that these forums are volunteer-driven forums. I am volunteer and so is everyone else.
Also, there seems to be more questions than answers.
Please also note you have the option of engaging a professional to assist you to fix it correctly. If you want to follow that option and hire someone for this, try one of these sites:
