Multiple Notifications Sent Per Submission

    My client has alerted me that occasionally a user submission while result in multiple notifications for the same submission reaching their inbox. The first time this happened the notification appeared at random over the course of two days totaling around 5 notifications for a single submission. Most recently a submission triggered 3 notifications in a single hour.

    It does not seem like this has happened for every submission. I’m still trying to rule out user error but wanted to post this to see if anyone else has experienced a similar issue. I just turned on the debugger and so I do not yet have data from that.

    Note: all pages on this site have two forms in the footer for Newsletter sign-ups and then pages like the one including in this post have a third for contact purposes. Only the contact-like forms have email notifications enabled; the Newsletter sign-ups do not.

    Hi @thekatbrady

    We have occasionally had people report multiple notifications, but we had not managed to successfully recreate ourselves, so we never got to the point of determining how or why it was occurring.

    It could be from any number of potential factors and combination of code causing it, and when it’s a live site, and also not our own site, it gets difficult to troubleshoot at a deeper level.

    Thank you for the reply. I will let you know if I find any etiology to this weirdness.
