Multiple Pings

    I am posting multiple times a day but I would like to ping only once a day so as not to appear to be spamming (Google especially). Is there a plugin for this, or should I not even worry about it?

    I could be wrong, but pinging for each post isn’t considered spam. Pinging multiple times for each post would.

    The update services will only consider your pings to be spam if you ping multiple times consecutively within a short amount amount of time, usually no less than ten seconds and no more than one minute.

    I was not aware that any ping service published any criteria regarding ping frequency / intensity / ban periods. To do so would invite abuse would it not ?

    No, they don’t publish it, but I did ask the support departments of a few services about a year ago. I suppose that it could have changed by now.
