I have a large number of post that I want to have created. There are several plugin-ins that do batch creation of posts which is very helpful. My problem is that every plug-in I have tried randomly creates some of the post out of order and I need them to be created in order.

Are there other ways to create a batch of posts?

    Thanks for your time.

  • Which plugins? What do you mean out-of-order? What order should they be in?

The plugins I have tried are: Quick Bulk Post & Page Creator, Yonox Add Multiple Posts, Simple add pages or posts, and Mass Pages/Posts Creator.

I place the titles of the post into the batch field:

    Genesis 1:1
    Genesis 1:2
    Genesis 1:3
    Genesis 1:4
    and so on

When the post are created, it might look something like this in the post admin:

    Genesis 1:4
    Genesis 1:2
    Genesis 1:3
    Genesis 1:1

The reason the order is significant is the design of my theme allows you to select previous or next post. But if the are not created in order then if I am on “Genesis 1:1” the next post may not be “Genesis 1:2”

    Thanks for your time.

Hmm. It sounds as if, because they’re being bulked posted simultaneously and they’re date/time ordered, that some are getting posted at the same time and, hence, are being sub-ordered (e.g. by title). Do none of these plugins offer the option to add a delay between each being created?

Unfortunately, none of them offer a delay between each post being created.

Are there other options besides a plug-in to accomplish a batch creation of posts?

    Thanks.
