I use your fine Tumblr Crossposted as well as WordTwit, so that when I make a post, it goes on my Tumblr as well as gets a tweet sent out. But those tweets from my WordPress are also becoming Tumblr posts. I figured this out when I had a post that took advantage of WordTwit’s multiple tweets function so that a sale I was promoting went out three times over the course of the day. Each one of those tweets has become it’s own Tumblr post.

Any idea how to make it so that when I post to WordPress, the post goes onto Tumblr but not the tweet?

My admittedly limited understanding of how WordTwit works is that whenever a new tweet is published, it also invokes the standard WordPress post publication actions. See line 253 of its main program file, specifically between lines 282 and 292.

For obvious reasons, Tumblr Crosspostr responds to WordPress’s commands to publish posts. The issue you are having is therefore WordTwit’s problem, not Tumblr Crosspostr’s.

That gives me an idea of where to aim to see if I can fix this. Thank you so much for your quick response!

You’re welcome. Another thing to consider is that Tumblr Crosspostr can exclude posts based on categories or tags, so if you need to use both plugins unchanged it’s possible that creating a category such as “no crossposting” and applying your scheduled tweets to that post may let you use both plugins without the one triggering the other.
