    Hello,

I have a search prompt in the header of my site that brings up a business directory search form in an Elementor popup on all pages of my site.

On pages where the business directory also has the built in search, the form in the popup doesnt populate the business genre dropdown.

Is there a way to allow for two search forms on the same page? I’d really like to keep the one in the header so users can search from any page of my site (which has more than just a BD)

    Thanks!

    Hi @anthonyintertech

Thank you for reaching out about this.

I’d like to help you further with this, but I need more information to reproduce the problem. Can you please tell me how you have this set up?

If you’d rather, we can chat further with screenshots if needed. If you want to go that route, please contact us with a link to this forum thread here:  http://businessdirectoryplugin.com/contact/

Hi @bobbied , you can see the issue here (staging url): https://weddings.onecmsdev.com/

I have a search form in a popup that is accessible from the search icon in the header.

I also have a search form on the homepage as part of the larger [ businessdirectory ] shortcode. (I also have part of the main search form on the main page hidden to reduce clutter)

Regardless of the popup, I’ve noticed if you have more than one search form on a page, portions of the form do not work.

You’ll notice in the popup, the business genre dropdown is not populated. But if you go into one of the inside pages that does not have a second search form on the page (like this one: https://weddings.onecmsdev.com/2021/04/21/sign-up-to-receive-our-newsletter/), it works fine. (PS: pardon the unfinished pages, this site is in the process of being built still)

So, it seems that more than one search form on a page does not work correctly.

I’ll make this as resolved, I decided just to go with a quick search form in the popup just to get it resolved on the site. Thanks for your assistance nonetheless!

    Hi @anthonyintertech

Okay, thank you. I’m not sure what the issue was here because I couldn’t reproduce it. Were you using the search widget or two different shortcodes? If so, which ones?

Please let me know if you want to still work on it. I’ll happily assist!
