Multiple selected items and taxonomy

When trying to change/assign taxonomy of multiple selected items,
the taxonomy doesn’t seem to be persisted. When reloading the media gallery page all the taxonomy changes are gone. It only works when selecting each item individually for configuring its taxonomy settings.
