    I imagine that the shortcode is based on the ID instead of a CSS Class and so if we put two selector on the page the second one does not appear.

    This is a problem because we can offer the selector at the top and bottom of the page for example.

    But in my case I use elementor and for the menus, they are separated by screen size and therefore I have to display several according to the resolutions … it would be interesting to be able to do it, I am suddenly stuck πŸ™ c β€˜It’s a shame because your plugin is very good.

    Hi,

    I do not think it is related to using id vs class.

    We usually do not recommend placing more than one selector on a page, but it is doable if you know what you are doing.

    If I can see the issue myself, I’ll provide more specific details.

    Thanks! πŸ™‚

    I do not see the reason which would prevent having several selectors on the same page, it is only a list of choices with a link to request the change of language …
    I tested and searched for a while but the second shortcode does not display, there is indeed the HTML code but the generation of the list which seems in JS does not display it.
    In elementor the header and footer are on the same page and we choose what is displayed or not depending on the resolution, so difficult to use the same shortode on two different layout depending on the resolution …

    first shortcode :

    <div class="elementor-widget-container">
    	<div class="elementor-shortcode"><div id="google_language_translator" class="default-language-fr">
    <div class="skiptranslate goog-te-gadget" dir="ltr" style="">
    <div id=":0.targetLanguage"><select class="goog-te-combo" aria-label="Language Translate Widget">
    <option value="">Select Language</option><option value="en">English</option><option value="bg">Bulgarian</option><option value="hr">Croatian</option><option value="cs">Czech</option><option value="de">German</option><option value="hu">Hungarian</option><option value="it">Italian</option><option value="pt">Portuguese</option><option value="ro">Romanian</option><option value="ru">Russian</option><option value="es">Spanish</option>
    </select>
    </div>Powered by
    <span style="white-space:nowrap"><a class="goog-logo-link" href="https://translate.google.com" target="_blank"><img src="https://www.gstatic.com/images/branding/googlelogo/1x/googlelogo_color_42x16dp.png" style="padding-right: 3px" alt="Google Translate" width="37px" height="14px">Translate</a></span></div></div></div>
    				</div>

    second shortecode empty :

    <div class="elementor-widget-container">
    					<div class="elementor-shortcode"><div id="google_language_translator" class="default-language-fr"></div></div>
    				</div>

    You are not using GTranslate plugin, but Google Language Translator.

    My recommendation here would be to display “Hello World” instead of the language selector, and when you are happy with the location on your website, change it with the appropriate shortcode.

    You can also use GTranslate plugin and show the switcher somewhere on bottom left corner using Show floating language selector option. Currently it is on top right corner where you have many other elements and it does not fit right.

    Why are there two plugins for the same functionality?
    GTranslate plugin and Google Language Translator?

    As explained in mobile mode and on the same page with elementor and therefore for the mobile display it’s not the same layout so I have to duplicate the shortcode.

    I will try to put the two plugins to see if it works

    It works but now I have my duplicate menu list πŸ™

    Strange behavior

    Thanks for your help, I will use the pop-up mode which seems to be working.
    Great job, more improvements to be made to make it even easier to integrate πŸ™‚
    Remember to see to integrate it into elementor because it would be a significant plus.
    The pro version allows you to correct translations, is that correct?

    Hi,

    I believe it is as easy as displaying a “Hello World” in a desired location on your website.

    We provide multiple pre-defined locations for easy placement, but every website is different and they may not suit for everyone. We have no plans adding specific tools for Elementor. I do not see a need for that, since you can place the selector anywhere you wish using a shortcode, including Elementor.

    Yes, you can edit the translations with our paid version. You can get more info about the paid version here: https://gtranslate.io/#pricing

    Thanks! πŸ™‚
