Select field rules issue

These are the form questions that the issue lies with:

I’m trying to have it set so that when A is selected, option A and checkbox C are shown, when B is selected, option B and checkbox C are shown, and when C and D are selected, nothing is shown.

This is how I have it set up:

I’ve been fiddling with this for hours, it seems that when I have more than 2 options, the remaining options (if it’s 4, then the other 2) copy the behavior of the second option, rather than act on their own.

What’s going on here?
