Just doing the design for my bbPress theme and saw you question come through – so I’ll take a creative break for a minute to answer you.

WooCommerce Predictive Search is a Child plugin for WooCommerce – so if you do not have the WooCommerce e-Commerce plugin installed it won’t activate for you.

The search engine we have built is very good. So good in fact that we will be building it as a WordPress plugin in the next little while – with child plugins to add search capability for things like Woocommerce rather than them being stand alone plugins. We estimate its about a 4 week task so you can see why we are not rushing into it.

If that makes any sense.

But at the moment if you don’t run a WooCommerce store the plugin is no good for you.
