From what i’ve seen normally for plugins not supporting multisite, they still work if we activate them on a subsite and not network activation.

I thought, this would be the case here too, but it seems the plugin just isn’t built for a multisite setup, which is what I use for all my projects. This plugin by far was the ideal plugin for modern image formats, specifically my favorite avif. All other plugins just bloat up the basic task or charge subscriptions for using their servers, which I don’t want.

For normal image compression, I suggest and still use resmush.it for what it offers. Same can work here for modern image formats, because now that resmushit is acquired by shortpixel, they won’t do anything good to the plugin than what it currently offers, for free.

So, please guys, how long would it take for releasing a multisite compatibility? I saw in recent topics here, that it is in development.

    Hello,

It’s great to know you find the CompressX plugin useful. We are actively developing Multisite network support, which will be a feature of the upcoming Pro version. We look forward to your support when the Pro version is released.

Since discussing the pro version is prohibited in the WordPress support forum, I will go ahead and mark this thread as resolved.

    Kind regards.
